What are gabion walls?

 

Gabion structures are free-draining walls that are constructed by filling large galvanized steel baskets with stone or other materials of choice.  Gabion walls are, in many applications, the most cost effective structural wall available.

GabTek are a father and son partnership based in County Down, specialising in the design and installation of gabion structures.

 

Applications 

Gabions have a wide variety of uses, and structures can be tailored to suit projects of all sizes and designs. While famous for their strength and durability, gabions can be a fashionable feature adding a contemporary twist to any building, project or landscape. Examples of typical uses include:
